FIELD: timber industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the timber industry, in particular to the processing of bark. The method for preparing tree bark for use includes the operations of loading the original bark, mechanical dehydration of the bark by squeezing to a moisture content of 55%, grinding the bark and unloading the finished product. The process of mechanical dehydration and grinding of the bark is carried out in one universal device, the operation of mechanical dehydration of the bark is carried out in two stages. At the first stage, the bark is pressed to a moisture content of 55%. Then, the operation of crushing the bark previously dehydrated by squeezing is carried out with the possibility of controlling the final sizes of the bark particles. After that, the second stage of mechanical dehydration of the crushed bark is carried out to a moisture content below 55%. In this case, the final size of the crushed particles is regulated by changing the frequency of rotation of the knives of the cutting mechanism.
EFFECT: required production areas are reduced, labor productivity is increased, and the scope of debarking waste is expanding.
