FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to solid oxide electrolyte materials with oxygen-ion conductivity based on Gd2Zr2O7, which can be used in electrochemical cells, and also as a material for sensitive elements of oxygen electrochemical sensors for determining the content of O2- ions in oxide-halide lithium-containing melts, such as LiCl, LiCl-Li2O, LiCl-Li2O-Li. The effect is achieved by the qualitative and quantitative composition of the material obtained by modifying gadolinium zirconate with the pyrochlore structure by introducing magnesium and lithium oxides, with the following structural formula: (1-y)Gd2(1-x)M2xZr2O7-δ⋅yMgO, M=Li (0≤x≤0.15); Mg (0≤x≤0.025); 0.05≤y≤0.2. The electrolyte can be used as a highly sensitive sensor element to oxygen ions, as a component of the melt in the range of medium temperatures with stability and invariance in time of its electrochemical characteristics.
EFFECT: decreased degradation of the electrolyte in oxide-chloride lithium melts.
