SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for heat treatment of the welded seam zone of a band saw blade with a serrated and trailing edge. The device contains a base plate for installing the saw blade, clamps for fixing the saw blade and a heating element made in the form of an inducing wire, while the base plate is made of an inert material, and the base plate support surface is made with a curvature corresponding to the radius of the working surface of the band saw drive pulley. The heating element is made with the possibility of non-contact location in the weld zone parallel to its axis and normal to the trailing edge of the saw across the entire width of the saw blade with overlapping of the heat treatment zone, while the device is made with the possibility of tempering the weld zone of the saw blade as a heat treatment.

EFFECT: reduction of flexural rigidity, reduction of the level of concentration of fatigue cyclic stresses in the saw blade in the area of ​​the weld and increase of the reliability of the tool.
