SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electric power industry, namely to devices for ensuring the operation of electrical networks. The system for automatic localization of a damaged section of an overhead or cable power transmission line contains at least one information collection and transmission unit, which is connected by means of a short-range radio communication module to three identical external sensors of the emergency process on the line. Each sensor is located directly on the phase conductor of the power line and contains a current sensor, a voltage sensor, a battery power supply and a microprocessor control unit located in the housing, which compares the received current and voltage values ​​with the values ​​of the short circuit current settings, including a short-range radio communication module and an indicator module. The system further comprises at least one recloser containing a vacuum switching module, a current and voltage measurement system, and a remote control module containing a control controller and a GSM standard communication module, and at least one device for recording and analyzing electrical parameters of a power transmission line, on the front panel of which there are indication elements, as well as control elements made in the form of buttons. the electrical circuit of the recording and analysis device is formed by a central computing processor unit, a combined power supply unit, a unit for digitizing current and voltage input signals from a power line, a combined user interface unit, a non-volatile memory unit, protection circuits and an external interface unit. The combined power supply includes a power supply circuit from the mains and a backup battery. The combined user interface includes control elements, a liquid crystal display and indicator LEDs. The block of external interfaces includes an interface for interaction with an external receiver of the global satellite positioning system and a GSM standard communication module. The block for collecting and transmitting information of short circuit indicators, the device for remote control of the recloser and the device for recording and analyzing the electrical parameters of the power line are connected to the server for collecting and processing information via a GSM connection.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of determining the fact and direction of emergency processes on power lines, the possibility of localizing the emergency section in automatic mode.
