FIELD: agricultural technology.

SUBSTANCE: hopper filling level monitoring system contains an optical sensor for determining the feed level inside the feed hopper, a circuit board connected with the possibility of transmitting data with a sensor to receive a level signal from the sensor and to process a level signal to generate hopper filling level data, a battery for powering the circuit board and sensor, a housing for the maintenance of the circuit board and a radio transmitter for transmitting data on the filling level of the hopper. The sensor can be a LIDAR sensor or a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor. The sensor mounting bracket inside the hopper contains: an upper suspended part, which is mounted on a vertical element of the roof structure, and the suspended part contains an opening for receiving a fastening device for attaching the suspended part to a vertical structural element; a vertical part extending downward from the suspended part; an angular part extending obliquely from the vertical part and under a suspended part; and a horizontal part extending from the angular part and having a lower side on which the sensor is mounted.

EFFECT: accurate measurement or assessment of the filling level of the hopper, that is, the feed level in the hopper.
