FIELD: laser technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to LIDAR measuring systems with a 3D point cloud. Substance: integrated circuit (IC) of a multichannel gallium nitride-based (GaN) irradiation shaper is applied in the LIDAR measuring system. In one aspect, the IC selectively connects each irradiation source associated with each measuring channel with an electrical power source so as to shape a measuring pulse of irradiating light. In one aspect, each pulse launch signal associated with each measuring channel is received by a separate IC node. In another aspect, additional control signals are received by separate IC nodes and transmitted to all measuring channels. In another aspect, the IC of a multichannel gallium nitride-based (GaN) irradiation shaper includes a power adjustment module supplying adjusted voltage to various elements of each measuring channel only when some pulse launch signal is in a state launching the irradiating pulse flash.
EFFECT: improved irradiation excitation electronics and receiver electronics of LIDAR systems for the purpose of improving the image shaping resolution and range.
