AC ELECTRIC ARC PLASMA TORCH Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC H05B7/20 H05H1/24 H05H1/34

Abstract RU 2775363 C1

FIELD: electric arc plasma torches.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to AC electric arc plasma torches for operation on plasma-forming gases, including gaseous hydrocarbons. The electric arc plasmatron contains at least one arc channel (5), consisting of a cylindrical hollow electrode (12) with an electromagnetic coil (11) located on it, an intermediate channel in the form of a metal pipe (8), and a nozzle block (1) with hole (2) for plasma output. The nozzle block (1) on the side of the nozzle (8) is made with an expanded axial hole (6), into which the second end of the nozzle (8) is inserted, and the third insulating sleeve (17) contacts the outer surface of the nozzle (8), and on the outer surface the second end of the branch pipe (8) has an annular protective nozzle (7). The third node (10) of the main input of the plasma-forming gas is made in the form of a hollow cylinder with tangentially arranged holes with the possibility of introducing the main plasma-forming gas into the vortex chamber (18) formed between the outer wall of the branch pipe (8), the inner wall (9) of the expanded axial hole (6 ) nozzle block (1), insulating sleeve (17) and protective cap (7).

EFFECT: increasing the resource of the plasma torch when operating on plasma-forming gases, including gaseous hydrocarbons by preventing the deposition of carbon material resulting from the pyrolysis of hydrocarbons in an electric arc, on an insulating sleeve located between the intermediate channel and the nozzle block.
