The proposed method for decoding an encoded image from an encoded video sequence is performed by at least one processor, and the method includes decoding, from a set of parameters, a plurality of possible decoded resolutions; selecting, by means of an index encoded in the temporal header structure applicable to the sample group, a possible decoded resolution among the plurality of possible decoded resolutions; resampling a sample from the group of samples based on the output resolution and the selected candidate decoded resolution; and resampling the prediction using the resampled sample.
