FIELD: video encoding technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to advanced video coding technologies, namely, the structure of splitting into tiles and subimages. A method is proposed that is performed by at least one processor to decode the bitstream of the encoded video stream, while the encoded video stream includes the encoded version of the first subimage and the second subimage of the image. The method contains a stage at which the bitstream is received, the first subimage of the said image is decoded independently of the second subimage using splitting into tiles, groups of tiles and subimages. In this case, the first subimage is the first rectangular area of the said image, and the second subimage is the second rectangular area of the said image, and the second rectangular area is different from the first rectangular area. The first subimage includes the first set of tiles, and the second subimage includes at least one tile. The first subimage is decoded in accordance with the decoding technology, in which the control of contour filtering at the boundary between at least two first groups of tiles is permitted only if each of these at least two first groups of tiles is rectangular.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of encoding/decoding the video stream.
