SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means that provide an obstacle in crowded places. The folding protective barrier includes a spatial frame with a folding and unfolding mechanism of the flaps, containing elements connected in the form of a horizontally oriented hinged parallelogram, which performs the function of a folding and unfolding mechanism in the longitudinal direction of the vertical flaps (1, 2) of the specified frame. The front flaps (1) and rear flaps (2) in the horizontal projection are located respectively on different sides relative to the longitudinal axis of symmetry. Each front flap is made with a protective shield (5) installed with the possibility of unhindered folding of the flaps (1, 2) into the transport position and deploying these flaps into the working position corresponding to their maximally expanded position or intermediate position. The spatial frame is formed by crossed beams (3, 4) of the upper and lower belts, which are connected by ties (6, 7). The mechanism of folding and unfolding of the spatial frame is equipped with a mechanical or electric drive. The electrically driven version provides for a vertical frame (15) with sidewalls, which is connected to a gear motor (14). The deployment of the barrier flaps (1, 2) occurs from the action of an electric drive in different directions from the frame (15). When installing a folding barrier on the surface, supports (9) and a guide (8) acting as a support are used.

EFFECT: prevention of undesirable events due to deployment at the optimal time, control over undesirable events by creating a security zone between police officers and the crowd, ensuring stability while maintaining the possibility of crowd separation directly in front of the barrier with accordion doors; simplicity of use and low material consumption.
