FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrolyzer for the conversion of gold-containing products by an electrochemical chlorination method. The electrolyzer contains a case with anode and cathode installed opposite to each other, a diaphragm installed inside the case, dividing the inner space of the case into anode and cathode compartments ending at the bottom with pyramidal parts with outlet pipes, a sorption chamber with a drain pipe, attached from the outside to a case wall adjacent to anode, divided into two compartments by a partition opened from the bottom, a cover with pipes for the outlet of anode and cathode gases, installed on top of the case and the sorption chamber, a pipe for the supply of a working solution, connected to the pyramidal part of the anode compartment, vertical slots narrowing to the sorption chamber, made in anode and the case wall adjacent to it, installed vertical diaphragms dividing the space of slots and the anode chamber. At the same time, the length of a slit of vertically narrowing slots in the narrow part should be less or equal to half the diameter of minimal pieces of a sorbent loaded to the sorption chamber, and, in the upper part of the case wall adjacent to anode and the partition of the sorption chamber, holes are made for the passage of gases coming to the sorption chamber to the pipe of the cover for the outlet of anode gases.
EFFECT: increase in the extraction of gold to the final gold-containing product is provided due to an increase in the efficiency of removal of gold ions by accelerating flows of a productive solution from a gold dissolution zone to a sorption zone.
