SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gas thermal technologies. In the method for flame spraying of powder material to obtain a nickel-based coating, a thermal sprayer and a thermal dissociator installed coaxially inside its central channel are used. First, the activating additive - ammonia, is bubbled through the water and enriched with moisture up to 0.2-0.4 wt.% in relation to the technological consumption of ammonia. Then the flame formed during the combustion of acetylene and oxygen is activated by supplying moisture-enriched ammonia to thermal contact with the core of the main flame through the thermal dissociator, adjusting the depth of its penetration into the high-temperature core of the main flame by making the tubular thermal dissociator movable. The metal powder is fed under the thermal spray nozzle.

EFFECT: increasing the adhesion of the coating to the surface of machine parts and tools.
