SUBSTANCE: hair treatment device (1) contains: first and second rods (4, 5) movable relatively to each other, capable of taking a spared configuration for the introduction of a hair strand between them, while first and second contact surfaces (12, 13) are located opposite to each other on first and second rods (4, 5), wherein one of contact surfaces (12, 13) is made with the possibility of heating, at least one steam outlet (20) located on one of rods (4) at a distance from contact surface (13) being on the same rod for impact with steam on hair captured between rods (4, 5), first rod (4) containing first part (40) for feathering first contact surface (12), and second part (41) differ from the first one and separate from it, elastically deformable sealing element (50) containing proximal section (51) passing partially around first contact surface (12) between it and first support part (40), and distal section (52) located in contact with second part (41), wherein proximal section (51) and distal section (52) are connected by intermediate section (53) passing between first part (40) and second part (41) with the possibility of formation of a steam shield.
