SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used as a drive for separator drums. The separator motor of combined design contains a housing, a stator and a rotor made of electrically conductive, non-magnetic material, made in the form of a separator drum. The stator contains a cylindrical magnetic core, in the grooves of which a winding is laid, in the frontal parts of which there are tubes for cooling the stator and heating the separated product, sealed with a compound. The peculiarity of the invention lies in the fact that conductive ferromagnetic rods connected by conductive short-circuiting ferromagnetic rings forming a short-circuited rotor are installed on the inner side of the separator drum, in its lower part parallel to the axis of its rotation at an equal distance from each other. The number of conductive ferromagnetic rods n2 is determined by: , where Dr is the diameter of the lower part of the rotor-drum, tZ1 is the slot pitch of the stator, but no less than six rods.

EFFECT: decrease in the range of rotation speed of the rotor-drum of the separator motor when its load moment changes while maintaining a high starting torque, an increase in the efficiency and cosϕ1 of the separator motor.
