FIELD: chemical compounds production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for producing a chemical compound of the composition (NH4)3Sc0,995Eu0,005(S04)3, which can be used as a phosphor for non-contact temperature determination. Europium doped scandium ammonium double sulfate (NH4)3Sc0,095Eu0,005(SO4)3 is proposed. The method for obtaining double scandium and ammonium sulfate doped with europium, composition (NH4)3Sc0,095Eu0,005(SO4)3 includes obtaining a mixture of an aqueous 1.7 wt.% solution of scandium sulfate and an aqueous 0.2 wt.% solution of europium sulfate, heating mixtures to 70-80°C, adding an aqueous 75 wt.% solution of ammonium sulfate, preheated to 70-80°C, while the initial components are taken in a ratio (mol.) equal to NH4+:Sc3+:Eu3+=220:2, 5:0.15, stirring and cooling to room temperature in a natural way, filtering, washing the precipitate with ethyl alcohol and drying at a temperature of 40-50°C for 4-6 hours. The obtained compound of the composition (NH4)3Sc0,995Eu0,005(S04)3 has sufficiently high sensitivity values in the operating temperature range.
EFFECT: compound can be obtained in a simple way using liquid-phase synthesis, excluding the use of high temperatures.
