FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical industry and can be used in the manufacture of luminescent screens for radiation sources, displays, cathode ray tubes. The luminescent coating on a titanium substrate contains europium(II,III) compounds and was obtained by pyrolysis at 600–65°C of a stripped off extract of the precursor of these compounds. The substrate is pre-treated by plasma-electrolytic oxidation in an electrolyte solution of the following composition: 50 g/l Na3PO4⋅12H2O; 26 g/l Na2B4O7⋅10H2O; 4 g/l Na2WO4⋅2H2O in galvanostatic mode at a direct current density of 0.05 A/cm2 for 10 min. The europium precursor was obtained by extraction from an aqueous chloride solution with a solution of trialkylbenzylammonium chloride (TABAC) and acetylacetone (AA) mixed in benzene in a molar ratio of Eu:TABAC:AA=1:1:10 or from a nitrate solution with a benzene solution of acetylacetone in the presence of 1.10-phenanthroline (FEN) in a molar ratio of Eu:FEN:AA=1:2:10.
EFFECT: luminescent coating is durable, obtained in a simple way and emits in a wide spectral region of 400-700 nm when excited by ultraviolet light.
