FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inorganic chemistry and indicator equipment and can be used in making plasma panels excited by a constant and variable field. Red-radiating photoluminescent phosphor, which is a borate of composition Sr3Bi2(BO3)4:Eu3+, obtained by crystallisation from melt. Luminophore crystalline structure consists of isolated triangular radicals BO3, and in crystallographically nonequivalent cationic positions M1, M2 and M3 there are Sr and Bi atoms. Position M1 is coordinated with eight oxygen atoms and is populated by approximately 80 % Sr and 20 % Bi. Position M2 is surrounded by eight oxygen atoms and is populated by approximately 60 % Sr and 40 % Bi. Polyhedron M3 is an eight-vertex and this position is populated by approximately 80 % Bi and 20 % Sr.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase optimal concentration of europium in luminophore and to use in its composition inexpensive and available components.
