FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to the separation of heavy and light water, especially in desalinated seawater. A light-water suspension of particles is added to the pre-cooled water as centers of crystallization of heavy water. Then the water is sprayed into a stream of cold air. After reaching the temperature of the water-air mixture of 0.1-0.2°C, the water is separated from the air. Next, the water is clarified with a coagulant and the particles with heavy water crystals deposited on them are finally filtered out in an ultrafilter at a constant temperature, obtaining light water. The solid particles are returned to the process to create a light-water suspension, and the purified light water pre-cools the water entering the separation.
EFFECT: obtaining water with a low content of heavy water impurities at high productivity and low energy consumption.
