FIELD: woodworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking and forestry industries, in particular, to hanging aerial saws for pruning the tree tops near overhead power lines. Aerial saw consists of a body (1) with a cutting element (2) and an electric drive with an autonomous DC power source (3). The electric drive is represented by series-connected inverter (10) and an electric asynchronous AC engine (5) connected with the power source via an inverter.
EFFECT: reliability of the electric propulsor of the aerial saw, reliability of the apparatus, and possibility of long effective work at remote locations are increased.
