FIELD: molding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to joints in movable handrails. A method for making a fused joint in a movable handrail containing a thermoplastic case is proposed. The case has a C-shaped cross-section, a defining T-shaped groove, a limiter of extension in the case above the T-shaped groove, and a layer of sliding fabric around an inner area of the groove. The handrail contains the first and the second end sections. Each section contains a front part passing from the end surface of the end section, and a rear part adjacent to the front part. The first horizontal cut is made in each part. The upper part of the thermoplastic case is separated from a base part containing side case sections, a layer of sliding fabric, and a thermoplastic layer above the fabric layer, and side sections are joined. At least side sections are removed for each end section from its front part, saving a central section. The central section contains a front part on a layer of sliding fabric and a thermoplastic layer. Front parts of the layer of sliding fabric and thermoplastic are cut out for the required shape. The first and the second end sections are joined together, obtaining a fused joint for molding.
EFFECT: possibility of fusion without the deformation of a handrail and without overlapping end sections is achieved.
