FIELD: navigation systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices used in orientation and navigation devices, namely the sensitive elements of a gyroscope. The sensing element contains a sound line made of an isotropic material in the form of a parallelepiped and plate piezoelectric emitting and receiving shear wave transducers whose sensitivity axes are perpendicular to each other, while the transducers are placed on opposite sides of the sound line.
EFFECT: creation of a gyroscope sensing element that provides both measurement of the absolute value of angular velocity and determination of the spatial orientation of the angular velocity vector.
