FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: sensing element of hydroscope comprises solid acoustic line 1 made of material with axis of not less than 3-fold symmentry; on one of its end faces transducer is arranged emitting acoustic body transversal waves 2, on another end face there is receiving transducer 3; polarisation angle between them is selected close to 90° according to condition of maximum signal depression from transversal wave emitted. While acoustic duct is rotating, Coriolis force is acting on oscillators in emitting transversal wave, resulting in secondary component of transversal wave with orthogonal polarisation in relation to emitting polarisation being registered. Signal, originating as a result, is proportional to rotation velocity.
EFFECT: invention allows to simplify design and reduce influence of engineering errors on consistency of device operation, and to enhance its response.
