SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of video decoding. A device is proposed that decodes the prediction information of the current block from the encoded video bit stream. The prediction information indicates the mode of intra-block copying. The current block is one of the many encoding blocks in the current area of the current encoding tree block (CETB) in the current image. The device determines whether the current block should be reconstructed first in the current area. When the current block is to be reconstructed first in the current area, the device determines the block vector for the current block, and the reference block indicated by the block vector is located in the search area in the current image, which excludes the correspondingly located area in the previously reconstructed CETB. Accordingly, the area located in the previously reconstructed CETB has the same relative position as the current area in the current CETB.
EFFECT: increase in decoding efficiency.
