FIELD: decoding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video decoding tools. An encoded video bit stream including the current image is received. The fact whether the current block included in the current image is encoded in the internal block copy (IBC) mode is determined. In response to encoding the current block in the IBC mode, the number of IBC predictor candidates linked with the current block is determined. An IBC predictor candidate list of the size corresponding to the number of IBC predictor candidates is built. A block vector predictor is selected from the IBC predictor candidate list, wherein, when the size of the IBC predictor candidate list equals 1, the motion vector predictor index for the IBC mode is not transmitted. The block vector linked with the current block is decoded using the block vector predictor; wherein said block vector constitutes a displacement vector indicating the displacement between the current block and the reference block used for reference. The current block is decoded in accordance with the block vector.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of video decoding.
