FIELD: nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of nanoscale silicon powder by the gas-phase method. A method for producing nanocrystalline silicon powder is proposed, including evaporation of a drop of molten silicon in a high-frequency electromagnetic field of a countercurrent inductor in which it is in a state of levitation. The entrainment of silicon vapors into the condensation and cooling zone is provided by a descending laminar flow of argon carrier gas. The continuity of obtaining nanocrystalline silicon powder is ensured by replenishing the evaporated droplet with a uniform supply of a monocrystalline silicon rod into it.
EFFECT: proposed method makes it possible to obtain nanocrystalline silicon powder with an average particle size of less than 20 nm in a continuous mode in an environmentally friendly way and the ability to adjust the particle size.
