FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a polyolefin composition, to a method for the manufacture of a weather-resistant sealer and a weather-resistant sealer containing a polyolefin composition, to a method for the manufacture of roofing membrane and to roofing membrane containing a polyolefin composition, to a method for the manufacture of a shoe sole and a shoe sole containing a polyolefin composition, to a method for the manufacture of a hose and a hose containing a polyolefin composition. In this case, the polyolefin composition contains terpolymer containing (A) cross-linked polyolefin containing hydrolyzed silane groups and (C) polar comonomer, where polar comonomer (C) is present in the amount from 5 to 35 wt. % per the total amount of terpolymer. The polyolefin composition additionally contains (B) a crosslinking catalyst in the amount from 0.0001 to 6 wt. % of the total amount of the composition and (D) a silicon-containing compound in the amount from 0.001 to 3 wt. % of the total amount of the composition. The silicon-containing compound (D) has the general formula: (R1)x[Si(R2)y(R3)z]m (I), where R1 can be the same or different, if more than one such group is present, is monofunctional or, if m=2, is a bifunctional hydrocarbon residue consisting of from 1 to 100 carbon atoms, R2 can be the same or different, if more than one such group is present, is a hydrocarbyloxy residue consisting of from 1 to 100 carbon atoms, R3 is -R4SiR1pR2q, where p is from 0 to 3, preferably from 0 to 2, q is from 0 to 3, preferably from 1 to 3, provided that p+q is 3, and R4 is -(CH2)rYs(CH2)t-, where r and t are independently from 1 to 3, s is 0 or 1, and Y is a bifunctional heteroatomic group selected from -O-, -S-, -SO-, -SO2-, -NH-, -NR1-, or -PR1-, where R1 and R2 are as defined above; and x is from 0 to 3, y is from 1 to 4, z is 0 or 1, provided that x+y+z=4, and m=1 or 2. Moreover, the specified composition has Shore A hardness values from 60 to 85, and the residual deformation during compression of the specified polyolefin composition is from 15 to 40% at 100°C.
EFFECT: provision of soft cross-linked materials based on polyolefins, having properties of rubber, which can be used in many areas instead of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber or other rubbers, the processing of which requires many stages and is a labor-intensive and energy-intensive process.
