FIELD: coated part strength increasing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for increasing the strength of a coated part. Surface-plastic deformation is carried out by running in a deforming element with simultaneous passage of a pulsed electric current through the contact zone of the deforming element with the workpiece surface. A pulsed electric current with a density of 1-2·105A/cm2 and a duration of 1-2·10-5 s is passed through the zone of contact of the deforming element with the workpiece surface until a pressing force of 5000-10000 N is reached. Then, with a pressing force of 5000-10000 N, welding is carried out along the mating surfaces in the place of tight contact between the coating and the substrate by passing through the contact zone of the deforming element with the treated surface of the part of a pulsed electric current with a density of 3-5·105A/cm2 and a duration of 3-5 10- 5s with a deformation spot displacement speed of 1-2·10-3 m/min at a longitudinal feed of 0.01-0.02 mm/rev.
EFFECT: adhesive strength between the coating and the substrate is increased, residual stresses and defects along the coating-substrate interface are reduced, and the cohesive strength is also increased.
