SUBSTANCE: plate conveyor includes a conveyor belt (1) of segments (2) connected to each other, which are guided along the rails, and a moving handrail (4), which is guided along the guide (5) of the moving handrail. The conveyor belt (1) has a longitudinal extension (8), and the guide (5) of the moving handrail runs in at least separate sections in the direction of this longitudinal extension (8) along the conveyor belt (1). The guide (5) of the moving handrail has at least one element (9) for length alignment, the length (L) of which, measured in the direction of the longitudinal extension (8), can be changed between the maximum length (Lmax) and the minimum length (Lmin).
EFFECT: length of the guide rail of the moving handrail can be easily changed and more precisely adapted to the desired length.
