FIELD: sensors.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for measuring axial displacement and radial clearances of blade and geared wheels in gas turbine engines and other power sets. Eddy current sensor comprises a matching transformer made on a ferrite core, the secondary winding whereof constitutes a volumetric coil formed by the structural elements of the sensor. The core part of the current conductor is located along the sensor axis. The cylindrical part is displaced by a distance G equal to 0.5 of the expected axial movement of the monitored object relative to the sensor axis. The sensing element is oriented in the plane of the central sensor axis and the axis of the cylindrical part of the current conductor, wherein the geometric centre of the working part of the sensing element is displaced relative to the central sensor axis by the distance G.

EFFECT: possibility of measuring radial clearances and axial displacements of blade and geared wheels of power sets in settings of design limitations on the placement of a pair of sensors in the central plane of rotation of the monitored wheel.
