HYDRAZINE-CONTAINING COMPOSITION WITH REDUCED VAPOUR TOXICITY FOR APPLICATION AS A COMPONENT OF ROCKET FUEL OR AN INDUSTRIAL SOLVENT Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC C06B47/08 C06B25/00

Abstract RU 2778057 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to variants of a hydrazine-containing composition for application as a component of rocket fuel or an industrial solvent. Composition according to the first variant includes a liquid mixture containing 5 to 95% mol. compound selected from the group consisting of hydrazine, monomethyl hydrazine, dimethyl hydrazine, ethyl hydrazine and combinations thereof, wherein said compound has a first vapour pressure. Composition also contains 5 to 90% mol. of at least one oxygen-containing dissolved substance or solvent with a second vapour pressure, lower than the first vapour pressure. At least one oxygen-containing dissolved substance or solvent is selected from a group consisting of carbohydrazide nitrate, ethylammonium nitrate, ethylenedihydrazine nitrate, hydroxyethyl hydrazine, hydroxyethylhydrazinium nitrate, bis(2-hydroxyethyl)hydrazine, bis(2-hydroxyethyl)hydrazinium nitrate, and combinations thereof. According to the second variant, the composition includes a liquid mixture containing water, an oxidiser, a compound selected from the group consisting of hydrazine, monomethyl hydrazine, dimethyl hydrazine, ethyl hydrazine, and combinations thereof, as well as at least one oxygen-containing dissolved substance or solvent. The oxidiser is selected from the group consisting of ammonium dinitramide, ammonium nitrate, carbohydrazide nitrate, hydrazinium nitrate, hydroxylammonium nitrate, and combinations thereof. The oxygen-containing dissolved substance or solvent is selected from the group consisting of carbohydrazide nitrate, ethylammonium nitrate, ethylenedihydrazine nitrate, hydroxyethylhydrazine, hydroxyethylhydrazine nitrate, and combinations thereof.

EFFECT: provided composition with a low vapour toxicity.
