SUBSTANCE: system includes a camera (52), made with the possibility of immersion in a marine farm (40), made with the possibility of keeping fish (72, 74). The camera is designed with the ability to capture images of fish. It contains an electronic image processing system (78) designed to identify external fish parasites on fish by analyzing captured images; and a camera and a lighting system (10) having a vertical support element (14), an upper rod (16) pivotally connected to the upper end of the support element (14) and bearing an upper lighting grid (22), a lower rod (18) pivotally connected to the lower end of the support element (14) and bearing the lower lighting grid (24), and the housing (20) attached to the support element and carrying the camera (52), and the upper and lower lighting grids (22, 24) are designed to illuminate the target area from above and below in the field of view of the camera (52).
EFFECT: group of inventions provides automated counting of sea lice, as well as the ability to predict and prevent infestations of fish with parasites.
