FIELD: military technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ammunition testing, namely to the installation for slow heating of ammunition. The installation for slow heating of the ammunition contains a sand-filled housing, in the center of which the tested ammunition is placed in the sand. A fire-resistant thermal insulation material is placed on the inner walls of the housing and on top. The installation contains an electric heater installed under the ammunition in the sand, connected to a regulator located outside the installation. The installation contains three thermocouples connected to a control/measuring/recording device outside the installation housing, installed respectively on the outer surface of the ammunition, on the section of the explosive charge under the transit plug and directly in the sand, as well as a set of photo and video equipment. At the end of the explosive charge, a set of flat conductive elements is installed, electrically isolated from each other and from the ammunition body, while the flat conductive elements separately and the munition body are electrically connected to the control/measuring/recording device, and one of the wires of the capacitive measuring circuit is connected to the bottom of the ammunition.

EFFECT: ensuring control of the thermal state of the ammunition charge as it slowly heats up and establishing patterns of changes in the temperature field in the volume of the ammunition during testing.
