FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to surgical dentistry, and can be used to combine computed tomography images (DICOM file) with an intraoral scan of the alveolar ridge (STL file) in edentilism to design a surgical navigation template. After drying the oral mucosa with a chip blower, radiopaque markers of individual shapes and sizes, made of radiopaque liquid flowable composite material, are applied onto the attached mucosa of the alveolar ridge. The applied radiopaque markers are polymerised by a dental lamp; the security of attachment of the radiopaque markers to the dried oral mucosa is verified with a dental probe. The alveolar ridge is subjected to intraoral scanning, creating an STL file. Cone-beam computed tomography is then performed, creating a DICOM file. The STL file and the DICOM file are combined by means of software using the radiopaque markers, followed by designing a surgical navigation template.
EFFECT: possibility of increasing the accuracy of installation of a dental implant due to the accurate comparison of the STL and DICOM images.
