METHOD FOR EXAMINING THE ANATOMY OF THE CORONARY BED OF MAMMALIAN HEARTS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61K49/04 G01N23/04

Abstract RU 2779005 C1

FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for examining the anatomy of the coronary bed of isolated mammalian hearts includes selectively filling the coronary vessels through the mouths of the coronary arteries and the coronary sinus with a radiopaque agent. For this purpose, an access is opened to the coronary sinus of the heart, and the venous bed is filled with the radiopaque mass including white lead, red lead, gum turpentine, and medical gypsum powder, at the following ratio thereof, % wt.: white lead 20; red lead 25; gum turpentine 45; medical gypsum 10. After filling the venous bed completely, the heart is placed in a 10% formalin solution for three days. Fine dissection of the walls of the right and left cardiac ventricles and the interventricular septum is then conducted. The isolated cardiac walls and the interventricular septum undergo X-ray examination.

EFFECT: clear radiopaque pattern of the venous bed of the walls of the right and left cardiac ventricles and the interventricular septum, allows for full-scale assessment of the course and branching of the cardiac veins and for morphometry thereof.
