FIELD: wells drilling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of drilling wells in ice sheets using a high-pressure fluid jet, specifically to drilling deep wells in the ice of the Arctic and Antarctic for the study of subglacial rocks and reservoirs. To implement the method for drilling wells in the ice cover, a casing string is installed in a firn and the casing string is filled with an organosilicon fluid. The descent into the well is carried out on the load-carrying cable of the high-pressure hydraulic pump with a rotary cutting hydrojet head fixed on it. Install the head at a distance of 3 to 10 mm from the face. A high-pressure liquid jet from 50 MPa to 100 MPa cuts the ice along the well contour. The predetermined borehole diameter is observed and the ice in the bottomhole is destroyed, the ice mud under the pressure of the organosilicon filling fluid is carried up the borehole. A mixture of sludge with organosilicon liquid is fed by a sludge submersible pump into the separator. Separate the sludge and dump it into a container. The purified organosilicon fluid is returned through the pipe to the well.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of the process of drilling wells in ice, ensuring a given diameter along the depth of the well and maintaining the natural temperature conditions of the surrounding ice.
