FIELD: cooling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for spray cooling of a strip. Apparatus comprises multiple transverse spray collectors arranged consecutively along the direction of movement of the strip, wherein the horizontal axis of each transverse spray collector is perpendicular to the direction of movement of the strip, and each transverse spray collector is equipped with multiple nozzles, wherein the apparatus is equipped with two sets of longitudinal spray collectors located separately at both ends of the transverse spray collector. The horizontal axis of the longitudinal spray collectors is therein parallel to the direction of movement of the strip, and each longitudinal spray collector is equipped with multiple nozzles arranged along its own axis.
EFFECT: creation of an apparatus capable of improving the flatness of a strip.
