FIELD: ventilation systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of noise reduction of aerodynamic noise sources, mainly fans, and can be used in ventilation and air conditioning systems. The silencer contains a housing lined from the inside with sound-absorbing material with end walls, coaxial inlet and outlet pipes and a silencing element in the form of a body of rotation. The silencing element is made in the form of an insert in the form of a hollow closed torus (1) with central oppositely arranged depressions of a curved shape (2). The torus (1) is installed in a cylindrical housing (3) according to the type of partition coaxially with the latter, both inlet (6) and outlet (7) pipes. In this case, the axes of the mentioned pipes (6) and (7) intersect the depressions (2). The peripheral surface relative to the axis of symmetry of the torus (1) is perforated for the passage of air in the direction from the inlet pipe (6) to the outlet pipe (7). The torus (1) has the possibility of elastically deformable contact along the outer perimeter with elastic sound-absorbing material (5).
EFFECT: in the implementation of the invention, the creation of an aerodynamic noise silencer is ensured, which has a higher manufacturability and a simpler design while ensuring high noise damping efficiency with a reversible air flow, and increasing the ease of installation.
