FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of reducing the noise of aerodynamic noise sources and pneumatic motors and can be used in ventilation and air conditioning systems. Gas flow noise suppressor comprises a body with an inlet and an outlet flat end walls equipped with an inlet and an outlet branch pipes, respectively. A flat screen is installed in the body so as to form a gap with the latter. The chambers behind the inlet branch pipe and the chambers in front of the outlet branch pipe are in communication via the gap. The flat screen is made in the form of a perforated base (1) of a hollow cone (2) installed in the body (3) forming a gap (4) with the latter. The perforated base (1) is located in the chamber (5) behind the inlet branch pipe (6), and the vertex of the cone (2) is located behind the chamber (7) positioned in front of the outlet branch pipe (8) and essentially in the outlet branch pipe (8) so as to form a gap (9) between the cone (2) and the outlet branch pipe (8) for the passage of a gas flow. The cone (2) is installed along the axis of the body (3), with both branch pipes (6 and 8) oriented coaxially therewith.
EFFECT: higher effectiveness of noise suppression.
