FIELD: aerodynamic sources noise reduction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of noise reduction of aerodynamic sources and can be used in duct networks of ventilation and air conditioning systems. The muffler contains a confuser, a circular inlet and outlet, a sound-absorbing material adjacent to the body with a perforated screen, and equipped with an air guide element with openings for air, and the ratio of the diameters of the inlet and outlet openings lies in the range of 1.2÷1.4, while the body is made in the form of a Venturi tube (1) containing a conical confuser section (2) with an inlet (3) and a conical diffuser section (4) with an outlet (5), separated by a cylindrical neck (6) of circular cross-section with a pair opposite passage openings, while the diameters of the inlet (3) and outlet (5) openings are equal to each other, and the ratio of the diameters of the inlet (3) and each of the opposite passage openings of the neck (6) lies in the range of values equal to 1.2÷1.4, while the air-conducting element is made in the form of a perforated elastic membrane (7) with the possibility of elastic deformation under the influence of the air flow placed in the Venturi pipe (1).
EFFECT: muffler is created that has a higher ease of installation of the muffler in the air duct network while ensuring a higher efficiency of noise reduction with a variable direction of air flow.
