SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of noise reduction of aerodynamic sources and can be used in duct networks of ventilation and air conditioning systems. The muffler includes a housing with inlet and outlet openings, in the cavity of which a sound-absorbing element with the possibility of movement is displaced at an angle to its walls; channels for the passage of air of a narrowing shape associated with the sound-absorbing element, and a convex element located at the inlet, while the sound-absorbing element is made in the form of a removable and replaceable insert of a V-shaped corner profile in a profile section installed in the cavity of the body (1), in the form of a dihedral angle (2) with a pair of edges (3), the outer surfaces of which form a rib (4) from the side of the inlet (5), and each of the edges (3) is located at an angle to the walls of the body (1) with the formation of channels of a tapering shape (6) for the passage of air, while the element of the convex shape is made in the form of a flow divider, in the form of a perforated plate (7) installed in the cavity of the body (1) and facing the convex surface towards the inlet (5), and the concave surface towards the outlet (8), and the rib (4) of the dihedral corner (2) is adjacent to the concave surface of the perforated plate (7).

EFFECT: creation of design options for the air flow silencer with a simpler design while ensuring a higher efficiency of noise reduction.
