FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: area of application: determining the elemental composition of dropping liquids. The substance of the invention consists in exciting a plasma discharge in a discharge chamber at atmospheric pressure in the absence of process gases, wherein electrons constitute the majority charge carriers, and delivering particles of the analysed liquid from the filling container to the plasma discharge zone of the discharge chamber, followed by recording and processing the emission spectrum; wherein the analysed liquid is supplied via the channels of the liquid supply system with a cross-section no larger than 7.85×10-5m2, and the plasma emission is recorded in the frequency range from 150 nm to 1,000 nm.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the elemental composition of dropping liquids.
