MOBILE LASER EMISSION SUBSTANCE ANALYSER Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G01J3/00

Abstract RU 2751434 C1

FIELD: spectrometry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spectral analysis, particularly to atomic emission analysis of various substances. Excitation and atomisation of a substance is executed by the method for laser evaporation of the sample and further ionisation of the obtained vapour of the substance. Laser pulse emission allows evaporating the sample without contamination of the composition thereof with additional electrodes, thus increasing the spectral sterility of research of the samples and allowing studying clean objects as well. The emission of the ionised plasma is directed into the objective for further spectral analysis in the spectrometer. Given the compact dimensions, the spectrometer of the analyser contains a higher number of CCD arrays, significantly expanding the range of the analysed spectrum with a lower limit of 170 nm.

EFFECT: apparatus allows measuring both solid substances, including powders, and liquid substances; the composition of metals and alloys, dielectrics, ceramics, glass, chemical components, rocks is analysed; the analysis is conducted both in an inert gas atmosphere and in air, and when an attachment is used, in a vacuum; and due to the small dimensions and weight of the analyser, measurements can be conducted at the location of the analysed substances, including on hand.
