FIELD: communication technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing and display of geospatial information, computer means of transformation, visual perception of the resulting image. The essence of the claimed technical solution consists in the preliminary processing of cartographic data on a personal computer equipped with general and application software, and the formation of a set of digital perspective cartographic images based on a 3D model of the terrain, which, in turn, is transmitted to the user’s mobile terminal operating in the absence of communication. To increase the accuracy of determining the coordinates, an identifier system is used, together with a paper-based map. At the same time, the identifier found on the paper map is entered into the user’s terminal in order to quickly search and display a perspective cartographic image of the required area on the screen.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of access to the necessary cartographic information, visibility and readability of maps, as well as increase in the reliability of determining the user’s location in the process of land navigation in the absence of communication for the transmission of digital data.
