FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to the production of powders of refractory materials or their alloys. It can be used as raw materials for the production of hard-alloy products and wear-resistant deposited coatings by powder metallurgy methods. To obtain fine-dispersed powder of refractory metal or alloy, a melt is dispersed in a vacuumized chamber by a centrifugal-arc method with the formation of particles. Formed particles are caught in a trap with material, a heat transfer coefficient of which is not less than a value calculated by the formula , where C is effective heat capacity of particle material in the temperature range of T0-Tt, KJ/(kg·°K), v is a counting concentration of particles in trap material, 1/kg, T0 is an initial temperature of a melt particle, °K, TT is a temperature of trap material, °K, Tt is a final temperature of particle material, °K, d is a diameter of the particle, m, t is required time for cooling the particle to the set temperature Tt, s, is a density of particle material, kg/m3.
EFFECT: production of fine-dispersed homogenous powder particles with a stable homogenous structure, and elimination of their aggregation.
