FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, namely, to metal hardening in processing. Billet is subjected to compaction by extrusion via female die inlet channel and circular outlet channel. Billet is subjected to compaction with twisting in said circular cavity. Compaction is performed in the device composed of male and female dies. Female die has the insert, vertical inlet channel and outlet channel. Outlet channel is composed of circular cavity arranged between female die and insert. Male die and insert can rotate jointly for billet compaction and twisting in circular cavity. Male die has ledges while insert has slots to receive male die ledges.
EFFECT: higher intensity of plastic deformation.
