FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a vaginal mirror allowing examination and/or application of sutures to at least posterior part of vaginal tissue. The vaginal mirror contains a vaginal node including at least two longitudinal separating elements connected at the distal end for the introduction into the patient’s vagina. The vaginal mirror is made with the possibility of retention of walls of the patient’s vagina in an extended position, which allows for examination and/or application of sutures to at least posterior part of vaginal tissue. The vaginal node also contains an element of the anterior wall of the vagina, made with the possibility of support of the anterior wall of the vagina. A set of parts, containing the above-mentioned vaginal mirror, in the form of a sterile prepacked set of parts for single use is described. A method for the introduction of the above-mentioned vaginal mirror into the patient’s vagina includes stages of provision of the above-mentioned vaginal mirror and introduction of the distal end of the mirror into the patient’s vagina. A method for the application of sutures to vaginal tissue includes stages of introduction of the above-mentioned vaginal mirror into the patient’s vagina, using the above-mentioned method for the introduction of the vaginal mirror; and application of sutures to the tear in patient’s vaginal tissue. A method for the provision of unhindered examination of at least posterior part of the vaginal wall during patient’s examination after the patient gave birth to a child includes a stage of the introduction of the above-mentioned vaginal mirror into the patient’s vagina, using the above-mentioned method for the introduction of the vaginal mirror. A method for the manufacture of the above-mentioned vaginal mirror by means of casting under pressure or additive production is described.
EFFECT: use of inventions allows for provision of a clearer overview of an area subjected to examination, application of sutures, or surgery.
