FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metal forming and can be used in the manufacture of axisymmetric pipe shells. Pipes are cut into billets that are multiples of one or more billet lengths. Then, the workpiece is machined with the formation of a stop on the inner surface at one end. The billet is rolled in one or more transitions by deforming rollers. The entry and exit of the rollers into the workpiece and out of it are set with an offset from the stop and from the other end in the direction of the axial feed and in the opposite direction. A fluorine-containing antifriction coating is applied to the working surfaces of the deforming tool. A fluorine-containing lubricating emulsion based on industrial oil is used as a lubricant and coolant. Final machining is performed.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain shells with high dimensional accuracy and quality of the machined surface, with a high metal utilization factor with high wear resistance of the working surface of the deforming tool.
