FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a set of cartridges for the determination of a status of nucleic acid methylation; to a system for the determination of nucleic acid methylation in a biological sample; to a method for the production of bisulfite-converted DNA; to a method for the detection of cancer or predisposition to cancer in a subject, as well as to a kit for the determination of DNA methylation, including the above-mentioned set of cartridges.
EFFECT: invention allows for carrying out the whole process at one stage: DNA purification, incubation with bisulfite, desulphurization, the second DNA purification, and methyl-specific PCR; it is also possible to carry out the analysis of different types of samples with the assessment of changes in methylation, observed at different types of cancer diseases.
