FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: methods for obtaining libraries for sequencing to determine the methylation status of nucleic acids from a set of individual cells are described. Methods, according to the invention, combine methods for combinatorial indexing with division and pooling and methods for processing with bisulfite.
EFFECT: invention allows for rapid, accurate and low-cost determination of characteristics of methylation profiles of large amounts of individual cells.
