FIELD: molecular diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: combinations of qPCR primers and probes that can be used to determine the status and methylation level of BMP3 and NDRG4 genes in a patient in need, providing remarkably high specificity and diagnostic sensitivity in determining the presence or absence of colorectal cancer (RPOC) and/or progressive adenoma (PA) in a patient in need of it. Compositions and methods of performing diagnostics are also presented.
EFFECT: combinations of preferred primers and probes according to the invention provide unexpectedly higher sensitivity and specificity in detecting tumour tissue.
